Mary Winston, also known as Mary Jackson in 1979.

One of the Hidden Figures of the NASA. The movie based on her life was big hit and I recognise this is the way that I knew her.

Although my mother had talked to me about her I admit that I didn't always listen. Ops! My fault...

Not only woman but also black in the 1900s, not a good start. She managed to study mathematics and aerospace engineering. She worked to help women and other minorities to advance their careers, including advising them how to study in order to qualify for promotions.


LEGACIE

She let us a big legacie we can't ignore; the 2016 film Hidden Figures, on june 2020 the agency’s headquarters building in Washington, D.C. was named after Mary W. Jackson and it is referred to as the Mary W. Jackson NASA Headquarters.
